Community Service - Tikkun Olam

Over the past 20 years, the Haverim unit has been a leader in community outreach in Conejo Valley - people helping people!
 
Our service to the community takes many forms. Here are some example of how you could be involved in humanitarian work in our community:
  • Feeding the Homeless - a cooperative program with Lutheran Socil services - involves serving dinner at a local church one night per month and providing sandwiches for lunch, one day per week
  • Donations of food and cash to Manna - local food bank
  • Scholarships for local high school seniors who demonstrate exemplary community service
  • Hand-made knitted blankets, hats and other items for cancer patients in hospitals
  • Providing affordable housing for low-income seniors adults in Conejo Valley - our most recent undertaking
